Featured Pet of the Day – ‘Skittles’

Good morning and happy Thursday! Today’s Featured Pet of the Day is Skittles. Skittles is a 6-year-old female domestic shorthair mix, currently searching for her forever family while in foster care. Skittles is a very laid-back, low-maintenance kitty who loves to play with toys when she isn’t taking long naps in the sun shining through windows. Due to a dental disease she had before she came to the shelter she did have most of her teeth removed but she can still eat hard food but prefers her canned food.

Skittles love humans and get super excited when you enter the room with her and makes cute chirping noises when receiving attention. She loves being brushed and even has some dog in her because she loves belly rubs. Skittles does do well with other cats and was surrendered to the shelter with another kitty. They don’t know how she is with dogs but they are willing to dog test her if you want to introduce her to a dog if you are interested in adopting this smiling baby.

If you are interested in meeting Skittles, arrangements can be made for her foster to bring her to the shelter for a meet and greet. If you’d like to meet her, please email our Population Supervisor at aheath@hsswmo.org. Sweet Skittles would love to join your family!

Please share Skittles because who could possibly say no to that smile? Look at her. She has been in a foster home since December because she was handling shelter life. Please help us make sure that doesn’t happen again by sharing or adopting her! Thank you, everyone, for helping support these shelter and rescue animals!
