A juvenile passenger was seriously injured Saturday night in a utility vehicle crash north of Ellington. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened at 9:30 p.m. on September 5, along Highway 21 about one mile north of town.
Troopers say a 2016 Polaris Razor 900, driven southbound by a 26‑year‑old man from Belleview, overturned as it entered the highway from a private drive. Investigators noted the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the rollover. The driver was not using a safety device and was able to drive the Razor from the scene.
A 10‑year‑old girl from Ellington, who was riding as an occupant, suffered moderate injuries. She was wearing a safety device and was flown by air ambulance to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis for treatment.
