12 Members of West Plains Fire Department Honored

West Plains, MO. – On the weekend of May 18-19, the West Plains Fire Department attended the 68th Fire Fighters Association of Missouri Awards Banquet in Lake Ozark Fire Protection District. 12 members of the West Plains Fire Department were honored and received awards for their hard work.

Chris Sterner was honored as Chief of the Year and Jacob Barks was named Fire Fighter of the Year.

8 members were honored with Life Saving Awards including, Alex Brooks, Bud McMillan, Donald Laughary, Brett Wilcox, Dylan Summers, Richard Hammon, Chace Goulart, and Chris Sterner. There were also 8 members awarded with the Meritous Award including, Wayne Cormier, Drew Findley, Alex Brooks, Brett Wilcox, Dylan Summers, Chace Goulart, Bud McMillan, and Jacob Barks.

The 69th Fire Fighters Association of Missouri Awards Banquet will be May 2-4, 2025, and hosted by Tri-Lakes Chiefs Association.
