WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A total of 1,288 items were collected by members of the Student Government Association, Student Nurses Association, and Phi Beta Lambda student business organization at Missouri State University-West Plains during their food drive for Samaritan Outreach Center, the local homeless shelter in West Plains.
Among the goods collected were ramen noodles and canned soups, vegetables and fruits, along with such supplies as plates, napkins, gloves and paper towel.
The food drive at the October 30 MSU-West Plains Grizzly volleyball game also garnered $80 in monetary donations.
Around 800 items were collected at the event the year before.
