$2 Million Scratcher Purchased in Cabool

A Missouri Lottery player is still reeling after uncovering a $2 million top prize on a “40th Anniversary” Scratchers ticket. The ticket was sold at Garden Inn Truck Stop, 14081 Highway 60, in Cabool.

The winner explained she had played the ticket twice before, but this time resulted in much better luck.

“I honestly was just like, ‘Nuh-uh. No, that’s not real!’” she recalled.

When asked if she had any plans for her winnings, she had an immediate response.

“Taking care of my kids and eventual grandchildren! It’s a big blessing,” she shared.

Players won more than $32.1 million in prizes on the “40th Anniversary” Scratchers ticket, which commemorates the Missouri Lottery’s kickoff in 1986.

In FY25, Texas County players won more than $3.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $368,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1.9 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
