2 vehicle accident injures drivers near Pomona Friday morning

West Plains, MO – A two-vehicle accident near Pomona on Friday morning sent both drivers to the hospital. The accident occurred on northbound Highway 63 at Kit Bond Drive at 6:30 a.m.

A 2012 Lincoln Continental driven by Virginia Skaggs, 67 of Raymondville, failed to yield to the northbound 2014 Ford F-150 driven by Brad Dietz, 28 of West Plains, causing the Ford to strike the side of the Lincoln, causing it to overturn.

Skaggs suffered serious injuries and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare by ambulance. Dietz had been moderately injured and was taken to Ozarks Healthcare by private conveyance. Both drivers had been wearing safety devices.

This accident was investigated by Master Sergeant S. Foster of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
