West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers Homecoming 2022 is just a couple of weeks away. The school asked patrons, community members, businesses, students, and staff for their thoughts and suggestions on this year’s parade route. The 2022 parade route will return to the traditional route beginning at 1:00 p.m on Friday, October 7, 2022.
The parade will start with a lineup at the corner of Missouri Avenue and Main Street, travel along Main St. and around the square, continue onto Main Street, and finally will disband in the West Plains Civic Center parking lot.
Homecoming Friday will not be a typical early release day; instead, it will be a full school day with the following dismissal times. – South Fork, 3:45 p.m.; WPE, 2:50 p.m., ZPA, 3:30 p.m., and WPMS and WPHS, 3:40 p.m.
The entire community is invited to join in the excitement and view from downtown. The annual homecoming parade is the only event in the school year where all 2,700 Zizzer students are together in the same place, at the same time. Please prepare for Main St. and parts of Missouri Ave. to be blocked off before and after parade time.
