The 2024 Willow Open chess tournament will be held on Saturday, January 20th in the Willow Springs High School Bears Den (Tornado Shelter) at 215 W 4th St. in Willow Springs.
Registration starts @ 8:30, round I @ 9:00, done by 4pm. Tournament will have scholastic sections ($10 entry fee) and an adult section (any parent / coach / community member can play for free).
This tournament is open to any and all school-aged children. Participants do not have to be on a school team to compete. Participants should be accompanied by either a school coach/sponsor or an adult chaperon. Individual awards will be given for 1st through 10th places in each division. Team trophies for 1st through 3rd places in each division will also be awarded. The registration fee of $10 per student can be paid the day of the tournament.
