(West Plains) When the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzlies play the Three Rivers Raiders in basketball, it is always a special event.
This Saturday’s match-up between the schools at the West Plains Civic Center is going to be even more special. It will feature the induction of original Grizzly Head Coach Tom Barr into the Grizzly Athletics Hall of Fame.

Ozark Radio News asked Coach Barr what some of his memories were of starting a college basketball program from scratch in West Plains.
That first season saw the Grizzlies win 18 games and, in Barr’s 11 seasons as head coach, the Grizzlies posted a record of 256-98.
Tom Barr’s induction will take place at halftime Saturday night.
