Isabella man caught driving revoked with possession of meth

West Plains, Mo. – An Isabella man was arrested in Ozark County following a traffic stop on Sunday. Steven L. Long, age 66 of Isabella, has a long history of driving while revoked according to online court documents. However, when he was stopped in Theodosia on January 15th by members of the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office, things got worse for Mr. Long.

Since Long has an extensive history driving while revoked, this upgraded the crime to a felony. As officers conducted a search, Long attempted to discard a bag containing methamphetamine that he was concealing in his hand. According to the Sheriff’s Office social media post, Long’s throwing skills were worse than his driving, with the bag landing directly into the bed of the patrol truck with a loud thud. The bag was recovered by the officers as evidence.
