West Plains, MO. – A couple from Cabool were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Texas County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. at the intersection of Business 60 and Highway M in Cabool.
A Chevy S10 driven by Jamie Todd, age 46 of Cabool was waiting to make a left turn in the eastbound lane when it was struck from behind by a Chevy Trax driven by Mary Lowrey, age 80 of Houston. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
Todd and his passenger, Melissa Todd, age 44, suffered moderate injuries and were airlifted from the scene of the crash and taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Lowrey was not reported as being injured.
Melissa Todd was the only individual involved in the crash that was not listed as using a safety device.
