The Caulfield Community Building Board is determined to reopen the beloved facility before the summer, ensuring that the community once again has a space for family reunions, birthday parties, and local gatherings. As the Caulfield area continues to recover from the devastating tornadoes that destroyed homes and farmland, the Board views reopening the building as a key step in the long-term healing process for residents.
In an effort to raise the necessary funds to complete the restoration and open the doors before the warm months of summer, the Board has launched two major fundraising initiatives:
1. Truck Pull Fundraiser
The Bakersfield Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is joining forces with the Caulfield Community Building Board for an exciting Truck Pull event scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 23-24, at the 101 Saddle Club in Caulfield, MO. The event will be a fun-filled opportunity for locals to come together and support the restoration efforts of the community building. Half of the proceeds from the concession stand at the Truck Pull will directly benefit the Caulfield Community Building, helping to replenish funds for critical repair and maintenance needs.
2. Pre-Sale of Building Rentals
To support the facility’s reopening, the Board is also offering a special pre-sale of full-day rentals for 2025 and 2026 at a discounted rate of $50 per day. This pre-sale gives individuals and organizations the chance to secure their desired event dates in advance, whether for family reunions, weddings, or other special occasions. The pre-sale runs from April 1 to May 24, the final night of the Truck Pull event. After May 24, rental rates will increase to $100 per day, and no partial-day rentals will be available.
Interested individuals can purchase pre-sale rental vouchers by calling Susie Williams, Vice President, at 417-293-5288, or Randy Harper, President, at 417-293-6650. Buyers may purchase as many vouchers as they wish, ensuring they lock in the lower rate for future events.
