West Plains, MO. – On April 7, 2024, CASA is putting together a dodgeball tournament as a fundraiser for their non-profit organization.
The tournament will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon at Team Fusion located at 220 North Kentucky Avenue, West Plains, MO. During the event, there will be hotdogs, chips, and more. For admission to watch the game, it will be $2 per adult entree and $1 per kid entree. To register to play the game you can do so at the CASA office at 101 Washington Avenue, at their website, https://37thcasa.net/events/, or you can register at the door by noon on the day of the tournament. The fee to register online, before the game, is $50 per team by March 30th. The fee when registering at the door is $60 per team.
The rules of the game are simple. There can be six players per team with a minimum of five players once the game starts and all players must wear non-marking court socks which will be provided to them. The winners will be declared by one team eliminating all players on the opposing team or the winning team will be determined by the team with the greatest amount of players by the end of the 15-minute game time limit. If there is an equal amount of members left on each team by the end of the 15-minute game there will be a 1-minute sudden-death over-time game until a winner is declared. There will be no timeouts or substitutions and every player must keep within boundary lines. ‘Outs’ are cotton by striking a player with a live ball below the shoulders if you strike an opponent in the head, the thrower of the ball will be out and the person hit will stay in the game.
