A 15‑year‑old boy from Ava and four passengers were injured in a single‑vehicle crash Friday morning on Highway 5 at Squires.
The Highway Patrol says the southbound 2020 Nissan Armada ran off the left side of the road while turning into a private drive and struck an embankment.

The driver and three juvenile passengers—ages 5, 8, and 12—along with a 35‑year‑old woman, were all transported to Cox South with minor injuries.
Douglas County deputies and the Squires Fire Department assisted.
