Gainesville, MO. – The Missouri State Highway Patrol report that this morning in the 5am hour, the body of a deceased individual was found. The victim appeared to be the victim of a hit-and-run. Sergeant Eddie Young of the Missouri State Highway Patrol gives us an update with a statement about the incident.
“Shortly after 5:00 a.m., the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office advised of a deceased individual located along State Route 181, north of Gainesville. Initial investigation indicates the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Crash Reconstruction Team were called to the scene to conduct the investigation. The investigation remains active and ongoing.”
