A stop at Casey’s, 1702 Gibson St. in West Plains, ended in a $50,000 Scratchers prize for one lucky Missouri Lottery player.
The winner uncovered one of 40 $50,000 prizes offered in the “$5,000,000 Fortune” Scratchers game. He then claimed his prize at the Missouri Lottery’s Springfield regional office on Nov. 8.
Since the $50 game began this summer, players have won over $55.9 million in prizes. Thirty more prizes of $50,000 remain unclaimed, in addition to three $1 million prizes and two $5 million prizes.
In FY24, players in Howell County won more than $7.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $677,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $920,000 in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
