Houston, MO. – Another offender died at the state prison in Licking, Missouri on December 29, 2023.
At 8:13 p.m. on December 29th, offender Samuel Lomax was pronounced deceased at South Central Correctional Center. This marks the 18th death at S.C.C.C. for 2023.
Lomax was a 59-year-old offender serving multiple life sentences for 1st-degree robbery and armed criminal action, as well as, concurrent 15-year sentences for 2nd-degree burglary, two counts of 2nd-degree robbery, and attempted 2nd-degree robbery from St. Louis City. Lomax was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections for this fourth period of incarceration on September 28, 2011.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
