6 Arrested, More to Follow in Wright County Meth Operation

Norwood, MO. – In the afternoon of February 9th, 2023, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and COMET Drug Task Force began an operation that started with the execution of a search warrant, and ended in the arrest of 6 in Norwood, MO.

The search warrant was executed at 734 Oriel Road, the Norwood Truck Wash. The Sheriff’s Office reports the search came about as a result of extensive investigation.

The search yielded a quarter pound of what is called “high-grade ICE Methamphetamine”, which is valued at around $10,000. Billy Dean Gleason, the owner of the wash, was arrested with 5 others, and more are expected to follow as the investigation continues.

Gleason is charged with 1st Degree Drug Trafficking due to not only the amount found, but also due to the short distance between the location and a local school.
