Birch Tree, MO. – In the evening hours of November 28th, a 71-year-old Birch Tree resident was injured in a crash on US 60.
Cheryl Glancy of Birch Tree crashed her 2007 model Cadillac DTS when she failed to yield to an oncoming traffic while moving Northbound. She collided with a Westbound Ford Focus, driven by Darren Johnson, 40 of Poplar Bluff.

The Focus was totaled but the driver was uninjured. Glancy’s Cadillac was damaged extensively, and Glancy herself was inflicted with moderate injuries. She was then transported to Mercy St Francis in Mountain View for treatment.
This crash occurred at roughly 6:35pm and was investigated by Troop JJ Smith from Troop G of the Highway Patrol.
