Yellville, AR. – A Yellville man has recently been arrested after multiple claims of sexual misconduct were reported.
The man arrested was Clarence Smith, a 79-year-old Yellville resident. According to the probable cause affidavit, the reports on these actions were received on January 21st, and described that Smith had performed multiple inappropriate acts on a 9-year-old female while boating on Bull Shoals Lake. Further investigation had revealed further acts were also enacted on a second 9-year-old female.
Smith is looking at three counts of Class Y felony Rape, two counts of Class B felony Traveling for the Purpose of Unlawful Sex Acts with a Minor, and one Class D Felony of Sexually Grooming a Child.
Many documents on the case have been sealed to protect the identities of the those involved in the investigation.
