Lake Norfork – A 9-year-old girl from Joneboro has been injured after coming into contact with a boat propeller on Saturday, July the 2nd.
This accident happened at Big E Bluff on Norfork Lake. The story appears to be that a group was jumping off of the bluff, and the boat operator turned on the motor to maneuver for pick-up of those who were jumping. However, the 9-year-old juvenile swam from the rest of the group in an attempt to use the ladder at the back of the boat when the motor was activated.

Severity of injury is unknown, but the juvenile girl was treated for her injuries in Springfield and has been since released. She is expected to make a full recovery.
