911 dialing services in multiple counties appears to be having issues today, impacting dispatching and general emergency communication in southern Missouri this afternoon.
This information was first received from Nate Franks, Director of Howell County 911, who stated that this outage is affecting cellular devices. As of right now, Howell and Ozark Counties have been confirmed to have been affected by this outage, with others being a possibility.
This means that while this outage is in effect, individuals who need emergency response will have to dial emergency dispatch offices in their specific county, rather than simply dialing 911.
To contact Howell County dispatch, dial 417-256-0209, and for Ozark County, dial 417-679-4633 until services have are announced to be fully restored to ensure proper communication.
