Quarterly Art Displays Held To Be At The West Plains Public Library

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Council on the Arts (WPCA) and the West Plains Public Library have partnered up to bring quarterly art displays to the library. They have announced that participants at Honest Imagination Day Habilitation will have art displayed for the public from July through September. Visitors will be welcome to view the pieces at the library during the open hours, which are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

Honest Imaginations in a Day Habilitation facility that is operated by TJ Swift House. The artists range from ages 18 all the way to 63 and each artist has their own style. Honest Imaginations has art on display at the Yellow House Community Arts Center and the Ozarks Welcome Center in West Plains. They also have art on display at the Neighborhood Tribe store in Mt. View Missouri. Honest Imaginations has sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individuals can become part of the Honest Imaginations group by attending these sessions. Their goal is to help and support members of the community with developmental disabilities.

A Meet-the-Artists event will be held on Wednesday, July 10th, from 1 to 3 p.m. It will be hosted at the West Plains Public Library and will give the public the chance to meet the artists and to view and discuss the pieces on display.

In a press release organizers said, “Honest Imagination members bring a freshness and joy to the creation of art! It’s a must-see group of creative works.”
