“All Hazards are Possible” – NWS Update on Coming Storms

The latest information on the incoming storms has been released from the National Weather Service in Springfield, and signs point to multiple hazards being a strong possibility.

Meteorologist Kevin Perez summarized what we can expect this week in an audio recording.

The general idea is that tonight and into tomorrow, multiple hazards included in severe weather are possible, including baseball-sized hail, tornadoes, and damaging winds. This applies to the entire listening area.

Past Wednesday, more thunderstorms are expected, but the main focus is heavy rainfall, with flooding becoming more prominent further east. Localized flooding is less of an “if” as it is a “when” for this week.
