Alton Teen Injured in Thayer Crash

Thayer, MO. – A pair of young adults from Oregon County have crashed after avoiding another vehicle on Highway E.

The date and time of this crash was 5:30 pm on May 18th. Matthew Robertson, age 20 of Thayer, was driving a Ford Mustang on Highway E when a southbound vehicle suddenly entered their northbound lane.

Robertson swerved off the roadway to avoid collision and struck an embankment instead. This moderately damaged the vehicle and inflicted moderate injuries on a passenger.

The passenger was identified as 18-year-old Alton resident, Dazeray Pankey. She was transported by aircraft to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital for treatment.

The investigator of this crash was Trooper T.D. Pond of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
