West Plains, MO. – On Saturday, May 11, 2024, 2015 MSU-WP graduate, Nicklaus Martin will be speaking in the West Plains Civic Center arena. Martin is now the sound designer of Source Sound, Inc., in Springfield. He plans to discuss useful experiences about life after college as a young adult.
After he graduated from MSU-WP, Martin took his Associate of Arts in General Studies degree and moved to MSU-Springfield and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Arts-Audio with a minor in music composition in 2018. Martin then found work as an editor and eventually a senior supervising sound designer at Source Sound, and then he opened a branch studio for Source Sound in Springfield. He has worked on AAA game sounds and trailers including Call of Duty, Apex Legends, New World, Star Wars Jedi Series, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield, Back 4 Blood, and Mortal Combat. Martin also won three Motion Pictures Sound Editors Golden Reels for his work on the Call of Duty franchise.
