Always a Future for Kids Presents Fundraising Checks to Local Nonprofits

West Plains, MO. – Local nonprofit Always a Future for Kids, or AFK, the organizers of events such as OzCon and the upcoming OzFaire, gave out checks to local nonprofit agencies this past week, reflective of their monetary success in this past years fundraising.

All nonprofits given money through AFK are associated with and drive forward the goal of creating better futures for children across our area of the Ozarks, whether that be through creating better experiences in the foster system, during birthdays, during the school year, or more.

$750 was given to Birthday Blessings.

$500 went toward the Bridges Program in West Plains.

The 37th Judicial CASA of West Plains received $250.

The Chaos Closet received a $750 check.

The Avenue Theatre received $500.

Lastly, a check of $1000 was given to The Nest Daycare & Preschool in Eminence.

AFK’s next event is OzFaire, a fantasy-focused Renn Faire taking place on October 12th and 13th, located at HOBA Park in West Plains.
