The annual meeting for paid members of the Eastern Douglas County Fire Department is set for Tuesday, June 2, at Station 1 on Highway 95. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 6.
Members will review several proposed bylaw changes, including a plan to join the Douglas County Missouri Fire Chiefs Association. Leadership says the move would help standardize dues across the county and align local practices with neighboring departments.

The evening will also include the drawing for the 2026 Mountainside Outfitters gift‑certificate raffle. Tickets remain available from board members, department personnel, and at the door prior to the meeting.
