Eminence, MO. – Ozark National Scenic Riverways announced late yesterday that another large prescribed burn will be occurring today in Shannon County.
The beginning time for the burn is scheduled for 11:00am. The target area is listed as Booming Shoals, and is expected to encompass 1,095 acres in areas east of Eminence.

Travelers on State Highway 106 near Powder Mill, or Blue Spring on the Current River will likely see the smoke from the prescribed burn, and there is a possibility that the hiking trail and road to Blue Spring could be closed while the burn is taking place.
This burn is being conducted in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
