Area fire departments receive new trucks

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Two area fire departments received new trucks to end the year.

The Pumpkin Center Volunteer Fire Department has a brand new 2020 Peterbilt tanker truck thanks to a large grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The truck was purchased through $315,000 in grant funding and roughly $15,000 raised by the department through various fundraisers. The tanker arrived last Thursday, December 26.

Also recently receiving a new firetruck was the Caulfield Fire Department, which got their 1990 Ford Firetruck from the Sioux Center, Iowa Fire Department on Sunday, which they purchased for $2000.
