Arkansas Couple Arrested After False Hostage Call Leads to Discovery of THC Product Sales Operation

Gassville, AR. – A couple from Gassville, AR. is facing several felony charges after a false hostage call led to the discovery of a large amount of marijuana and THC product, and a resale operation.

According to the probable cause statement on this case, the story stems from back on August 25th at roughly 10:41am, when an investigator from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a hostage situation happening on Debonair Court in Gassville.

Contact was made with residents, and no hostage situation was ongoing, but a search of the residence led to the discovery of a large volume of marijuana, THC, and psyllium mushroom product. In addition were items related to the packaging and resale of these items, using retail packaging and professionally printed logos.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office seized a combined weight of THC products of 26.9 pounds, with 17.6 pounds of marijuana, 762 grams of psyllium mushrooms, and $37,257.09 in cash.

Residents Joshua and Samantha Enquist, both 35, are looking at Felony Charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Manufacturing, Possession With the Purpose of Delivery, and a class Y Felony of Trafficking a Controlled Substance. There is also a misdemeanor charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The couple was released after posting $75,000 bond, each.
