A Mountain Home man has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a hotel employee over a noise complaint.
Police say Gary Frans, heavily intoxicated at the time, shot the Mountain Home Inn front desk worker on March 16 after complaining about loud music from a cleaning crew. Witnesses say the victim told Frans, “Don’t shoot me,” three times before he fired.
Frans was arrested without incident, and a breath test at the jail registered .27. He is being held on a $500,000 bond and is set to appear in court on April 7.
