Cherokee Village, AR. – On April 27, 2024, the Arkansas Pie Festival will be making its annual appearance in Cherokee Village. The festival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a Pie Day 5K race starting at 9 a.m. The Arkansas Pie Festival will host a competition between commercial pie makers, home chefs, and students. There will be judges and attendees to sample pies of all varieties before crowning a people’s choice and champion baker. There will also be pies displayed for a silent auction during the festival.
The Arkansas Pie Festival is full of activities for the whole family. There will be pie tasting, silent auctions, live music, food trucks, and a chance to take pictures with Miss Arkansas 2023. There will also be a kid zone set up with face painting, inflatable bounce houses, build-your-own stuffed animals, a youth pie eating contest, and an illusion and magic show. Toward the end of the festival will be the 2nd annual Cutie Pie Pup Parade, which you can pre-register for by texting your dog’s name, description, and your name to 870-847-206.
The Arkansas Pie Festival is now a qualifying event for the World Food Championship in Dallas, Texas and the winner of the pie contest will get a Golden Ticket, making them eligible to compete in the next World Food Championship. All the funds received from the event will be donated to support STEM programming and education through the Spring River Innovation Hub.
