Arkansas State Police Receives New List of Recruits; 1 New Officer Added to Troop I

Twenty-nine recruits for the Arkansas State Police received Trooper Commissions on Thursday, June 29th, at a graduation ceremony in Little Rock. One of these recruits will be seen in our area of the Ozarks.

Nathaniel Masterson has been assigned to Troop I, which covers Newton, Boone, Marion, Searcy, Baxter, Stone, Fulton, and Izard Counties.

Masterson, like other graduates, has received 1,100 hours of specialized academy instruction, as well as practical training exercises centered around Law Enforcement performance.

Masterson will receive an additional 6-12 weeks of training with a Field Training Officer before being released fully from training.
