“Arrest Warrant” Scams Circulating Once Again in Baxter County

Mountain Home, AR. – Phone scams are not an unusual thing in the modern day. One particular scam appears to be making the rounds yet again, as the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has stated they are receiving information on it once more.

This particular scam involves the scammer posing as an agent of a law enforcement organization, sometimes using the names of actual officers. They will then communicate an urgent situation, often involving an arrest warrant, meant to pressure the victim into transferring money in some form over the phone.
