“It’s always an honor to make these kinds of donations on behalf of the Arvest Foundation,” Arvest Bank associate Joyce James said. “We trust the donations reflect our commitment to the West Plains community. The primary purpose of the Arvest Foundation is to support local organizations doing outstanding work to improve the quality of life in the communities it serves. Through its grant program, the Arvest Foundation helps worthwhile charitable activities in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Grants are based on recommendations from local Arvest leadership and the use of these grants varies depending on the organizations need, as evidenced by the Samaritan Outreach Center.

“Our mission is simple: To feed, clothe and shelter those in need,” said Lori Concepcion, managing executive at Samaritan Outreach Center. “The Arvest Foundation’s donation helped to make this possible. Donations are down dramatically during this current environment while the need has increased significantly. We’re so very grateful for the foundation’s generosity.”
