ATV driver receives multiple felony charges following crash in Texas County

West Plains, MO. – A Willow Springs man has received multiple charges following an ATV crash on Friday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred on Timberline Road, four miles north of Willow Springs at 5:35 p.m. on June 30, 2023. 

A Honda 400x driven by Anthony Lovan, age 31 of Willow Springs, traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned, and ejected Lovan. Lovan received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.

Troopers charged Lovan with felony Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest. He also received the following misdemeanor charges: operating vehicle in careless and imprudent manner resulting in an accident, operating an unregistered ATV, unlawfully operated ATV without orange triangle, and unlawfully operated ATV without a safety flag.
