A motorcycle crash north of Ava injured a 22‑year‑old local man Friday night on Highway B.
Troopers say the northbound Harley‑Davidson struck a deer in the roadway just after 8:19 p.m. The rider, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries and was taken by Cox EMS to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The motorcycle had minor damage and was towed at the owner’s request.
