Ava, MO. – An Ava man has been issued a Grand Jury Indictment, according to a recent announcement from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
This release of information surrounds John Medlock, 41 of Ava, who was involved in a report of a child sexual assault dating back to 2014. Due to Medlock’s history of claiming bias against local law enforcement agencies, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was brought in to conduct the investigation.
On January 31st, Medlock’s indictment was issued, and in the morning hours of February 2nd, he was arrested. A formal hearing and trial has yet to be scheduled, according to Missouri Case.Net. His arrest charges include 3 counts of 1st Degree Deviate Sexual Intercourse. His bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
