The Ava R-1 School District announced Wednesday evening that administration was notified a staff member at the middle school has been possibly exposed to COVID-19 outside of school.
“We are aware of no significant contacts for the staff member involving students or other staff members all of whom are considered at low risk of exposure,” school officials posted on social media. “The staff member involved will be quarantined following state and local health department guidelines. As always, we ask that you please watch your child for any signs or symptoms and seek medical attention if it is warranted. Thank you and have a good evening.”

The school will not close due to this possible exposure.
