Mansfield, MO. – A woman from Ava was recently injured in a one vehicle crash near Mansfield that required her expedited transport for medical care to Springfield.
This crash happened at 2:30 yesterday, February 21st. Tammy Veverka, a 45-year-old Ava resident, was driving a Chevy Silverado on Highway 5, travelling southbound. For reasons not listed on the crash report, Veverka ran off the roadway one mile south of Mansfield and struck an embankment, totaling her vehicle.
Veverka’s injuries were classified as moderate in nature, but air ambulance services were deemed necessary for proper treatment of her injuries, and she was taken by Lifeline to Mercy in Springfield for treatment. She was not wearing a safety device at the time of the collision.
Investigation on this crash was performed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G’s Sergeant L.S. Elliott.
