Back to School Starts Next Week, Motorists Urged to Drive Carefully

For many schools, next week is when Back-to-School season starts for many in the Ozarks. With parents and children now reincorporating commutes to school back into their schedules, roadways are expected to be busy once again at prime hours of the day going both to and from schools and school zones.

Motorists are urged to be aware of the dangers inherent in the busier times of year, and to add extra time to their commutes in order to avoid any driving made in haste. When driving, especially in urban environments, motorists should be patient and vigilant in looking out for schoolchildren crossing streets, loading or unloading on buses, and to follow all traffic law around buses doing their work.
