The Howell County Sherriff’s Department closed a portion of County Road 7040 near Caufield this afternoon. The Howell County Swat had a fugitive who was armed and had barricaded himself inside a residence. The Sherriff’s Department announced that they now have the fugitive in custody and the road is open for traffic once again.
