Baxter Co. has 5 cases of COVID-19

The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) has confirmed Baxter County now has five positive tests for COVID-19, according to the department’s live updating map on the ADH website.

After receiving its first positive test on March 27, Baxter County had been classified as having 1-4 cases, with ADH never confirming the exact number of tests that were positive. The ADH update came Tuesday night, shortly after 6:30 p.m., and says the county has five positive tests and 74 negative tests.

Stone County has five cases, Searcy County has six, Izard County reported its first positive test on Monday, while Marion and Fulton counties have no positive tests as of Tuesday evening.

Statewide, Arkansas now has 997 positive tests and 18 deaths.
