Baxter Co. Library closed until further notice

The Baxter County Library is closed and will remain closed until further notice for the safety of Library patrons, staff, and volunteers, due to COVID-19. Library staff ask that patrons hang on to any items they may have checked out. The Library book drop is closed and no items can be returned at this time. All due dates have been extended through May 1, and no fines will be charged.

Though the Library is closed, many services and resources remain available.  eBooks, eAudio Books, and eMagazines can be checked out on the Library’s website at www.baxlib.orgAlso on the website, students can access a live tutor with Brainfuse or learn a foreign language with Mango languages. Creativebug has lots of how-to videos for craft projects to do while at home, and TumbleBooks has a wide selection of instant eBooks for children of all ages.

For those who do not have WiFi at home, you can access the Library’s WiFi from the Library parking lot, Monday – Friday, 6:00am-9:00pm, Saturday, 7:00am – 9:00pm, and Sunday, 10:00am – 6:00pm.  The WiFi password is 12345678. 

Library staff are still available to serve you.  Access email addresses for specific Library staff members under the INFO tab at www.baxlib.org or call the Library 10:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
