Mountain Home, AR. – The first day of the Baxter County Fair is today and is expected to continue all the way through to Saturday.
The location of the fair will be the Baxter County Fairgrounds, at 1507 Fairground Drive in Mountain Home. The carnival is expected to open at 5 pm, and tonight is a free admission night. Typical gate admission on other nights is $7 for those aged 6 and up, and free entry for those aged 5 and below.
The fair sports a yearly parade which is scheduled to happen tomorrow at 5:30 pm, and the Baxter County Truck Pull will be occurring on Friday. For those attending tonight, this will include registration for exhibitors of many kinds, including those who wish to submit livestock.
As extreme heat is still expected until this weekend, make sure you are staying hydrated and dressing cool while attending the fair. Many booths at the fair will be handing out free water to those who attend.
