Baxter County, AR. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Department released another press statement thanking more residents for their donations.
Two residents contributed to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation to help purchase body armor vests for the deputies. Larry and Shirley Walters of Mountain Home donated $3,000 to the foundation, which will allow the department to acquire three more vests following a donation received early last week.
In the press release, Sheriff John Montgomery stated, “The Sheriff’s Office is very thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Walters for this donation, which will enhance the safety and well-being of our deputies.”
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, meaning all donations can be used as a tax write-off.
