Midway, AR. – Two women from Arkansas were fatally injured on the morning of Monday, September 18th, when they were struck by another vehicle.
This Monday accident occurred at 7:25am, according to the report from the Arkansas State Police. Weather conditions list the road as being dry, but with a heavy fog being present.
Jennifer Watlington, 39 of Yellville, was driving a Chrysler T&C on State Highway 5, moving Southbound when she and her passenger, Sunshine Underhill, 40 of Summit came to the intersection at State Highway 126.
The driver of a Sterling truck, Michael Ragland, 61 of Marshall, approached the intersection moving Northbound. He then failed to yield at the intersection and struck the Chrysler. Ragland was injured, but the two women in the Chrysler were fatally injured.
Investigation on this crash was performed by Corporal Jay Bryan of the Arkansas State Police.
