Baxter County Sheriff’s Office Encourages Drug Disposal with “National Take Back Day”

Mountain Home, AR. – As a way to combat the rampant abuse of opioid products in the US, the Drug Enforcement Administration, or DEA, started and promotes an event known as “Take Back Day”, where they encourage the public to dispose of their old, unwanted prescription drugs.

As part of their participation on this event, the Baxter county Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a “Take Back Day” at a church in Mountain Home. It’s set to take place at the Old First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All unwanted drugs collected in this event are set to be destroyed via an incinerator. Individuals who can’t attend the formal event may also make use of a drop box at 206 West Eighth Street in Mountain Home.
