Baxter Health is pleased to welcome board-certified family nurse practitioner Blake Throne, APRN, to Baxter Health Heart and Vascular Clinic. He will be practicing alongside Dr. Nestor Arita, Dr. F. Michael Bauer, Dr. Heath J. Broussard, Dr. James Munns, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, Dr. Natalie Ostro, and nurse practitioners Kathleen Prinner and Jeanne Marotta.
Blake joins the clinic from Hospice of the Ozarks, where he practiced for two years as a nurse at the Hospice House and as a nurse practitioner doing face-to-face assessments. Prior to this role, he gained valuable nursing experience in the Emergency Department, Primary Care, ICU, and Cardiac Telemetry.
His educational background includes a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A Fort Worth, Texas, native, Blake obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Christian University.
Outside of caring for his patients, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife of 17 years, Jaclyn, and their 4 daughters, with his faith and family meaning the most to him. They have a hobby farm with sheep, goats, chickens, Kune Kune pigs, and rabbits. Blake also has a therapy dog, Gus, who loves to make his rounds at the Hospice House.
